UK member society aids in flood relief

Following the recent flooding across the UK, WSPA member society the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), has deployed inspectors and up to a third of its field workers to the worst hit regions in Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire.

Bear cub rescued by Tennessee Member Society

WSPA recently received a letter from Lisa Stewart, the curator of our member society the Appalachian Bear Rescue (ABR) in Townsend, Tennessee. ABR is a unique black bear rehabilitation facility located in the Smokey Mountains that has been rescuing and releasing bears for over a decade.

Twister and four other bears set free in Idaho

After a long and bumpy ride, Twister stepped out of her crate, looked around and jumped off the back of the truck that had carried her and four other bears from Idaho Black Bear Rehab (IBBR) into the wilderness outside of Boise. She didn't look back as she dashed down a dirt path and bolted into the woods to begin her new life.
