Campaign to stop pig cruelty in Taiwan

Apr 29, 2007

Shocking new undercover film showing cruel practices in Taiwan’s slaughterhouses has stepped up pressure on the government there to enforce humane practices.
The film depicts scenes including a man repeatedly striking a pig with an iron bar before slitting its throat while fully conscious.

In support of the Environment and Animal Society of Taiwan (EAST), the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) is calling for action after today releasing the footage.

Please Take Action

You can help pressure the Taiwanese government by sending a protest letter to top ranking government officials at our online campaigns page >>

The page contains the protest letter and undercover footage for you to watch. You don‘t have to watch the footage, but please register your protest and forward the campaign to your friends. Thank you.
