Beginning with my teenage years, I have had an increasing interest in and empathy for the well-being of our brethren the animals. As I was gradually able to afford it, I began to contribute to organizations and groups who fostered animal welfare and protected them from cruelty and abuse. Indeed, I still contribute regularly to many such organizations; but when I became aware of WSPA and the quality of its care and the worldwide reach of its work, I knew I had found the organization to which I wanted to lend my maximum support.
