29th Annual MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals

August 2009

Join thousands of animal lovers and their four-footed companions for the 29th Annual MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals on Sunday, September 13th in Boston, Hyannis or Newbury, Massachusetts.

Last year more than 2,000 people, along with 1,000 of their pooches, took part in the 1.5-mile walk around the Boston Common (no dog required to attend!) and more are expected this year with the addition of the MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals in Newbury and the event’s return to Hyannis. Come and enjoy a day of fun for the entire family, and help raise funds for animals in need of care.

The Walk for Animals on Boston Common will be filled with canine fun including raffles, gravity-defying frisbee demonstrations from the famous Blue Dog Group, contests such as the Biggest Sports Fan and much more. You can also teach your dog something new with the MSPCA-Angell’s Animal Care and Adoption Center agility ring.

Incentives for fundraisers that participate in any of the three MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals locations include $300 raised: Free I “Heart” My Dog Bumper Sticker, $500 raised: Free MSPCA-Angell frisbee, $1,000 raised: All previous prizes and a MSPCA portable water bowl, $3,000 raised: Free portable GPS navigation system and $5,000 raised: All fundraising prizes listed.

For more information or to register for any of the three MSPCA-Angell Walk for Animals locations, visit www.walkforanimals.com. Walkers can also form a team and update individual Web pages to help fundraise.

Testimonials

"WSPA is willing to go to places in the world that no one else wants to. They get the job done and at a reasonable cost. This is often done at considerable risk to life and limb. It's very impressive."
