Cruelty-Free Dolphin Activities

Are you a dolphin enthusiast? Do you want to learn about dolphins, their behavior, their biology and their unique place in our oceans? For those individuals that truly care about and respect dolphins, the exhibits and so-called entertainment offered by the captivity industry and swim-with-dolphins programs do not have to be the only option.

Now that the tide is turning away from captivity, many people are eager for alternative ways to learn about dolphins. As you will see, you don't have to watch marine mammals perform circus tricks or spend $70 per half hour to splash around in a shallow pool with imprisoned dolphins to get the true dolphin experience.

More ways to help:

1) Hit them where it hurts! You can help abolish the dolphin shows, dolphin swim programs, and other forms of dolphin exploitation. It's easy: DON'T BUY A TICKET!

2) If you witness any kind of captive dolphin show or program - whether it's while you're on vacation, in a shopping mall, at a zoo, at a traveling circus or anywhere else - REPORT IT TO WSPA at  wspa@wspausa.org. And remember, some of these programs might seem very humane and ethical on the surface, but report it anyway so we can check it out. For the dolphins' sake, better safer than sorry.

Testimonials

"During the last couple of months our veterinary funds have been taking some real strain and are almost totally depleted. Without WSPA’s help, we simply could not rescue and treat any more animals."
